Meet Our Pastor
Apostle Carolyn L. Hicks is a native of South Carolina. She is the 9th out of 12
Children of the late Roscoe and Claries Bennett, who is 81 years old of Hope
Mills, North Carolina. After moving to Brooklyn, New York in 1963 she received
Christ into her life under the late Apostle Arturo Skinner, as a teenager. There
she grew under the mantle witnessing signs, wonders and miracles. It was during
these years of growth that the impartation of the apostolic anointing was
deposited into her life. In 1982 the Lord gave her a vision for the ministry of
Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Victory Center, Inc. (DJICVC) while under the
leadership of Bishop James H. Everette. In 1986 she relocated to Hope Mills,
North Carolina to fulfill ministry work for the LORD. Upon the leading of the
LORD in 1992 she was released to begin the ministry of DJICVC.
Apostle Hicks is married to Walter Hicks, Jr. They have been married for over 35
years. They are proud to be the parents of five lovely children, Michele Denise,
Walter "Chevy" III, Andre Vaughan, Angelicia Gabriella, and Dominique Shante.
There family have grown to include one daughter-in-law, Lynn and two
sons-in-laws, LJ Merritt and David McNeill. They are the proud grandparents of
five grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Lamark, Noel and Nevaeh.
Apostle Hicks s the Founder and Pastor of DJICVC in Hope Mills, and Deliverance
Victory Center, Lumberton, North Carolina. She is also the International
Founder and Overseer of Churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, New
Jersey, New York, USA ; London, England, Tanzania and Uganda, East Africa as
well as in South America. Apostle Hicks is very instrumental in "stirring up"
Outreach Ministries and Churches in bringing their vision to pass.
In January of 2002, the Deliverance Victory Bible School, which is aimed at
equipping the Body of Christ with understanding the divine purpose of God for
our lives was opened. Apostle Hicks' main concern is the 22 Million "SOULS"
that the LORD has promised the ministry of Deliverance would reach with the
gospel. She has allowed the LORD to use her in Revivals throughout the United
States, Women's Seminars in Fair Banks, Alaska; Raeford, North Carolina;
Women's Healing Clinic, Hope Mills, North Carolina. Health Fairs for
Minorities, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Black Symposium for Family
Strengthening, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Youth Outreach Ministries,
Fayetteville; Charlotte North Carolina, London, England; Health Forums for
Health Awareness, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Revivals all over the
World.
Concerned about children and communities around the world, Apostle Hicks has
founded Agape Kingdom Community Development International, Inc. (AKCDI) for the
purpose to build houses for orphan children and families. The concern is not
only to change people spiritually, but naturally in showing them an avenue of
change. "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they
cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands
on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:15-18. "For I an not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth..." Roman 1:16 "Also I heard the voice of the LORD saying, Whom shall
I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I; send me." Isaiah 6:8
Apostle Hicks continues to demonstrate the expressed image of a servant flowing
in the anointing. Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Victory Center Inc. is located at
